NATIONAL STUDENTS' DAY 2021

Objectives
To engage the students in the celebration of the National Students’ Day 2021.
To accurately inform the students about the pressing issues and concerns directly affecting them specifically about the students’ rights and demands, student aid network, roadmap to safe resumption of classes and the safe school reopening bill.
To create venue for hearing the sentiments and questions of the students pertaining to the said topics.
Activity/Event Narrative
In order to express their desire to mark National Students' Day in 2021, the officers of the PUP Quezon City Student Council held a pertinent webinar that addressed significant issues faced by Filipino students.
Estudyan-Teka Muna was held on November 17, 2021 via Zoom Meeting and Facebook live. The moderators, Mx. Johnric Delos Reyes and Mr. Angelo Legaspi, commenced the celebration by playing an audio visual presentation of Invoaction and National Anthem followed by the warm opening remarks delivered by the PUPQC-SSC President, Ms. Jennylyn Balaoro.
The first resource speaker, Ms. Coleen Mañibo of National Union of Students in the Philippines discussed about the students’ rights and demands. The second resource speaker, Mr. John Luis Gonzales of Student Aid Network discussed about the current updates on the campaign on 10k Student Aid Now. The resource speaker answered a pool of questions from the participants and the Certificate of recognition is awarded. A Short break was given to all the participants before proceeding to the discussion of the next set of speakers. The third resource speaker, Mr. Tierone James Santos of Rise for Education (R4E) National discussed about the roadmap to safe resumption of classes. After answering a pool of questions from the participants, certificate of recognition is awarded to the resource speaker. The fourth and last resource speaker, Ms. Angelica Galimba, the second nominee of Kabataan Partylist discussed about the context of safe school reopening bill. Ms. Galimba answered questions from the participants and was awarded a certificate of recognition afterwards. Photo op with the participants from PUP Quezon City, PUP Taguig, PUP Unisan, and National Teachers College was taken by the technical team. The closing remarks for the local celebration of National Students’ Day in PUP Quezon City was humbly delivered by Ms. Kristine Baldovizo, the Vice President of the PUPQC-SSC and the celebration was successfully concluded with the singing of the PUP Hymn.
